The Wales international was happy to return to match action after a spell on the sidelines and is raring to go again
Gareth Bale said it was "his job" to set up Cristiano Ronaldo after assisting Real Madrid's second goal in their 3-0 win over Celta de Vigo. The former Tottenham man, 24, made his comeback as a second-half substitute after a three-week spell on the sidelines with a calf injury and added his satisfaction with his current physical state.
"My assist for Ronaldo? That's my job," the Welshman told the official Madrid website.
"It was a tough match and the important thing is we got the three points. I'm very pleased that we've won our first game of 2014.
"We've had a good rest over the Christmas break and we are raring to go in 2014. We're really looking forward to it.
"I'm feeling great and I'm itching to play and help the team in 2014."
Bale has scored seven goals in 11 appearances in La Liga so far this term, while creating seven more since his world record €100 million move to the Santiago Bernabeu last summer.
