Fanendo Adi grabs 12th goal in Portland Timbers' loss
The Nigerian striker scored for the MLS side but it proved too little too late as they went down against their closest rivals
Fanendo Adi scored the consolation goal in Portland Timbers' 3-1 defeat  to Seattle Sounders in a Major League Soccer clash at the CenturyLink Field in Washington.
Adi played the entirety of the game and he scored in the 93rd minute to reduce his side's deficit after Clint Dempsey's brace and Cristian Roldan's 83rd minute goal had put the hosts three-nil up.
The Nigerian striker has now scored 12 goals for Timbers as they continue to push for a playoff spot.
He scored 18 goals in the 2015 season to lead Timbers to their first ever MLS Cup title.
