The Italian believes the Giuseppe Meazza side should be grateful for their goalkeeper keeping the score down
Antonio Conte feels that Juventus could easily have beaten Inter by a bigger margin than 3-1 in Sunday's Serie A encounter.Goals from Stephan Lichtsteiner, Giorgio Chiellini and Arturo Vidal gifted Juventus a three-goal lead before Rolando pegged one back for the visitors and Conte believes the Nerazzurri had goalkeeper Samir Handanovic to thank that things did not end worse for them.
"We’re the league’s top scorers and could have netted more than three tonight. Handanovic did very well in certain situations," the Bianconeri coach said at a press conference.
"I’ve always wanted for my teams to play on the front foot. It’s always better to play attacking football than sit back with men behind the ball.
"We prepared every minute detail in the build-up to the game and I’m happy with the overall performance put in by the players. Credit to them, they did well.
"It’s a pity about the goal we conceded, which gave us a few anxious moments towards the end. We need to keep the tension high all the way through until the end, all it takes is a fortuitous goal to open things up again."
Juventus currently lead the Serie A table with 59 points from 22 games.
