The Man Utd star has been talking about his nation's chances at Euro 2016
Marouane Fellaini claims Belgium are ready for the Euros this summer and can handle the pressure that comes their way.
Speaking exclusively to Goal ahead of the New Balance Furon 2.0 and new Visaro colour-way boot launch, the Manchester United midfielder opened up about Belgium’s chances at the Euros and why they won't let expectations get to them.
“We are a team in Belgium, we don’t care about the pressure, we go for it, we have good players, talented players, I think we can deal with it, we can deal with the pressure.” he said.
Most players relish the chance to go out for their country and will give everything on the pitch. Fellaini’s no different.
“You want to be proud, do your country proud, everyone is watching so yeah you have to give everything, so you don’t have a regret in the end.”
“All the players are important, ok you have a lot of good players, but to win something you need everyone; the substitute, the staff, the medical staff,”
“To win the game you need a right back, a left back, you need a substitute to make a difference sometimes, so everyone is important.”
“So yeah you have stars like Eden Hazard, Kevin de Bruyne, Thibaut Courtois, Kompany… but a lot of players is important.”
Eden Hazard is looking to move on from his troubled season at Chelsea with a fine tournament with Belgium and Marouane Fellaini thinks he can show what he’s capable of in France.
“This season [Hazard has had] a lot of injuries, before Chelsea was not in the best form so I think he will show what he can do in France,”
“He did well with Chelsea at the end of the season, I hope he will continue with that and help the team, I think he is an important player for Belgium.”
