The Manchester City forward has disappointed in matches against Russia and Wales, with one Three Lions supporter launching a campaign to end his Euro 2016 participation

A disgruntled England fan has launched a fundraising campaign to try and bring Raheem Sterling home from Euro 2016.

The Manchester City winger has been criticised for two poor performances in clashes with Russia and Wales, and one Three Lions supporter has had enough of his below-par displays.

Aaron Bamford believes Sterling should be sent home from France and is even prepared to help foot the bill to bring him back to the UK.

"Let’s face it we’re all sick of seeing this idiot [run] down the wing and fail to deliver a half-decent ball into the box," he wrote on JustGiving. "We’ll bring the lad home and then we can all stop cringing every time a gust of wind knocks him over.

"Don't worry about being generous, we're of one mind. A penny each will cover it I imagine."
Bamford is looking to contribute £200 to the cause, with £105 raised in donations at the time of asking.
