New Arsenal signing Asano misses sitter in Japan

The 21-year-old, who agreed a move to the Emirates Stadium earlier in July subject to a medical and international clearance, missed a glorious one-on-one chance on Wednesday

This will hardly convince Arsenal fans that Takuma Asano is the striker they have been crying out for.

Arsene Wenger swooped for the 21-year-old in a move reportedly worth £5 million earlier in July, with Asano remaining at current club Sanfrecce Hiroshima until he completes a medical and the deal receives international clearance.

However, Asano was not at his best on Wednesday night as Sanfrecce drew 3-3 with Kashiwa Reysol.
Despite the high-scoring nature of the game, the Japan international failed to get on the scoresheet after missing a glorious chance when through on goal.

Still though, better than Yaya Sanogo, right?
