Man City ‘set to beat Man United to young Brazilian star’

Gabriel Jesus: Persuaded to move to Manchester by Guardiola
Manchester City are reportedly on the verge of signing £26million-rated forward Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras, according to his agent.
Pep Guardiola is said to have tempted the 19-year-old Brazilian to join the Citizens instead of their bitter arch-rivals at Old Trafford.
The Sun have also reported that an announcement from the Premier League club is close and they will also reveal that the striker will re-join Palmeiras on loan until at least Christmas.
When asked about a potential transfer to Man City, Jesus’ agent Cristiano Soames told Calciomercato: “I can say that we are defining certain contractual aspects. We’re negotiating these.”
“We are very advanced with Manchester City. [Interest from Inter?] We’ll see.”
La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid were also thought to be big admirers of the Brazil U23 international, yet it is Manchester City who appear to have won the race.
