Hecking hints at potential De Bruyne exit.

Hecking hints at potential De Bruyne exit Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking has hinted at a potential Kevin De Buyne exit amid strong interest from Manchester City in the attacker.

The Premier League outfit are keen to lure the Belgium international away from his current club and launched a £45 million offer for the 24-year-old earlier this month.

Wolfsburg have thus far remained adamant that they have no intention of selling De Bruyne, yet Hecking has now fuelled speculation about the creative midfielder's future by admitting that he would not hold a grudge were the former Chelsea man to return to the Premier League.

"I want to wish Kevin all the best for the future, even if we were to go separate ways," Hecking told reporters.

"The last two weeks of the transfer window will be tense and complicated for all those involved."

De Bruyne has developed into one of the Bundesliga's undisputed stars since joining Wolfsburg from Chelsea in January of last year and was voted player of the season in 2014-15.

He has a contract with Wolfsburg until June 2019, but admitted earlier this summer that he would be open to a move elsewhere if the right club came along.
