'Sevilla gunning for Porto revenge'

'Sevilla gunning for Porto revenge'
Sevilla’s players will have revenge on their minds when they face Porto in the Europa League quarter-finals, according to the Spanish club’s sporting director Monchi.
The Andalusians were paired with the Portuguese champions at Friday’s draw in Nyon, and while Monchi freely admits they would have preferred to face weaker opposition at this stage, the former Sevilla goalkeeper acknowledges it gives them the chance to avenge their round-of-32 defeat to Porto in 2011.
He told Sportmasta: “Juventus and Porto were the hardest possible rivals but the travel is not very long and our fans can easily get there.
“Plus we have a score to settle because they eliminated us a few seasons ago.”
Porto overcame highly-fancied Serie A high-fliers Napoli in the previous round but Monchi is confident his side can progress to the semi-finals.
"If we compare this Porto to previous years it may be weaker but a team with Jackson Martinez and Ricardo Quaresma… They have experience in Europe and should aspire to win the tournament.
“But we can get through this tie and we have to look forwards with optimism.”
