Finance minister unaware of Keshi’s unpaid wages
Nigeria’s finance minister has disclosed that the Federal Government is uninformed about the unpaid wages of the national team's technical crew
Finance minister Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has revealed that the Federal Government of Nigeria is not aware of the fact that the Super Eagles coaching crew headed by Stephen Keshi is being owed several months salaries.
"I am not aware that national team coaches were being owed. It has not been brought to my attention. The sports minister has not brought it to my notice, “ Okonjo-Iweala has told media.
“If they have problems of funding let them bring it to my attention and it will be taken care of because everything the sports minister has brought to our attention we have acted promptly."
She however assured that all hands will be on deck to ensure Keshi and his team are duly paid while also assuring that the Super Eagles will be given all the necessary support to excel at the Brazil 2014 Fifa World Cup.

"There should be absolutely no fear about the funding of Super Eagles for next year's World Cup or any other team representing the country. President Jonathan is truly supportive of the Eagles and all other sports and is determined to change the face of sports in Nigeria and you will agree with me that it is changing for good,” she concluded.
