Drogba is back to his best. says; CAHILL

Cahill: Drogba is back to his best
The Ivorian forward has scored three goals in a week in the absence of Diego Costa and Loic Remy and his team-mate feels that the veteran is rediscovering his best formGary Cahill believes that Didier Drogba is back to his best after finding his goalscoring touch following his return to Chelsea.

After re-signing for the Blues on a one-year deal this summer, the Ivorian striker got off to a slow start to life back at Stamford Bridge, only to score three goals in as many games in the space of seven days.

The 36-year-old has been pressed into action following injuries to Diego Costa and Loic Remy and was particularly influential in Jose Mourinho's side's 2-1 win over Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday.

And England defender Cahill believes that Drogba has returned to the level at which he was when he helped the club to their first Champions League trophy in 2012.

"After the last two games he is fully fit now and he is looking dangerous, exactly like he was when he went," the centre-back told reporters of his team-mate.

"Drogba was massive for us against Shrewsbury and he got a vital goal. Who knows how long he can go on? That's for the club and Drogba to decide but we've started the season well and he's been a big part in that.

"Diego Costa has played the majority of the games but Drogba is getting back to match sharpness."

Despite Drogba's good form, Cahill knows that all three strikers are key to the Premier League leaders' season as they continue to fight on four fronts.

"To get them all back fit and scoring goals is vital for us," he remarked. "There are options in attack but not just there, all over the pitch."
