Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado dismissed
rumours linking him to Barcelona, insisting there has been no contact
between club and player.
The right-sided attacker
has played an influential role in the Italian club's successfully start
to the season, which has seen them rise to fifth in Serie A. Colombia international Cuadrado has featured in all 16 of Fiorentina's this term, scoring four goals and providing numerous assists.
A successful start to the campaign has reportedly attracted interest from Spanish giants Barcelona but Cuadrado claims there have been no discussions with the La Liga side.
"Barcelona interest?," he quizzed. "I have no contacts and the club has said nothing to me.
"Every player works to progress and play in big teams, but my mind says Fiorentina and I'm very happy here.
"Then we'll see what happens in the future. I only think to work hard and improve; I still have room for improvement."
Sectors of the Italian media have started to compare Cuadrado to former AC Milan star Ronaldinho but the 25-year-old was reluctant to accept the evaluation.
When asked about the comparison by el9.cat, he said: "I'd like to have 50 percent of his qualities. We are very different footballers.
"Ronaldinho is very complete and won everything, I'm starting now and I hope to win many titles too."
