Pellegrini bemoans Manchester City’s finishing

Fabian Delph: Midfielder missed late chance at former club
Manuel Pellegrini was unhappy with Manchester City’s finishing after his side were held to a goalless draw at Aston Villa.
City are already having to do without main striker Sergio Aguero, and lost replacement Wilfried Bony to injury after only 24 minutes of the Villa Park encounter.
The visitors largely dominated the second half, but failed to land the killer blow which would have won all three points.
“We’re disappointed with the draw. I think we did enough to win the game. They had just one shot on our goal, we had three or four clear chances to score,” Pellegrini said.
“Villa defended very well with nine or 10 players. We tried to break that line. Two or three of our chances were unlucky. This happens in football.
“Without Bony and without Sergio Aguero we don’t have a player who plays inside the box. We have to try and work without them.”
Depending on the severity of Bony’s injury, 19-year-old Kelechi Iheanacho could be handed a run in the starting XI as City’s only fit striker.
