Kanu, Oliseh, Aluko: Twitter reacts to Nigeria v. Sweden

Some of the great names of Nigerian football took to social media during the Super Falcons’ 3-3 draw with Sweden at the Women’s World Cup
The Super Falcons enthralled the watching world on Monday, securing a 3-3 draw with Sweden at the Women’s World Cup in Canada.
There was high-octane drama at the Winnipeg Stadium as Edwin Okon’s ladies twice came from behind; first from two down to draw the scored at 2-2; then to make it 3-3 in the dying stages of the contest.
Francisca Ordega was the heroine of the piece with her late equaliser, while Asisat Oshoala lived up to her billing, delivering a magnificent individual display, complete with a telling contribution in the final third.
The Falcons’ performance sent Twitter into meltdown, with fans, journalists and players alike taking to social media to comment on the event in real-time and, overwhelmingly, to state their admiration for the ladies’ performance.
Nwankwo Kanu, probably the greatest footballer ever produced by Nigeria (at least until Oshoala arrived on the scene!), was a particularly vocal supporter of the Super Falcons.
