'very happy' at Manchester United in 'special' says; Mata

Mata 'very happy' at Manchester United in 'special' Premier League
The former Chelsea man hails the English top flight and insists has no plans to return to La Liga, where he previously spent four years with Valencia
Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata admits he is enjoying life in the Premier League and has no plans to return to La Liga.

The Spain international moved to England in 2011, when he joined Chelsea from Valencia, before signing for United in January 2014.

Now into his fifth season in English football, Mata was full of praise for the league's atmosphere and respect towards players.

"Right now I don't even think about it. I miss family, my friends, but for I'm very happy in Manchester," he told El Pais. "I have the feeling that I have just arrived here and I still have many things to do.

"Playing in England is a very positive experience. I advise every player to spend at least one year in the Premier League, because in terms of fans, the league, the structure, what football represents, it’s fantastic.

"There is a special respect towards the player. It is incredible. You are playing a top-level team and even when you lose the fans still support you, looking forward to the next match.

"That gives you more eager to share the successes with them. It is different from Spain. Here they understand football in a very special way."
