The playmaker, who also says he has nothing to prove
following his fine spell with Wolfsburg, insists it is up to the
Londoners to find their own solutions to their poor form
Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is not interested in the troubles that have befallen his former club Chelsea this season, despite his acrimonious departure from Jose Mourinho's team.
The Londoners are 12th in the Premier League table having won just three of their nine games so far, and have just one victory in their last five matches in all competitions.
Mourinho, who sold De Bruyne to Wolfsburg in the 2013-14 season and since suggested the playmaker was "crying every day that he wanted to leave", has been criticised for the Blues' start to the current campaign.
The Portuguese has hit out at his own players and referees and also has a one-match stadium ban hanging over him after claiming officials are "afraid" to give decisions for his team after defeat to Southampton.
De Bruyne could be forgiven for affording himself a wry smile as events unfold at Stamford Bridge, but he says his former club have to get on with it.
When asked if he has been watching Chelsea's situation with interest, he responded: "Not really to be honest, I’m busy with my thing and they have to look for the solution for themselves."
But the 24-year-old, who has been in brilliant form since returning to England in a £54m deal this summer, believes his old side could still catch league leaders City.
"A lot can happen," he said. "If we lose two or three games and they win it then they are there, it’s still a long hard season.
"We just try to put pressure on everybody so they are not allowed to make mistakes."
Many have suggested De Bruyne needs to show what he is made of in Britain following his ignominious exit from the Bridge, but having lit up the Bundesliga last season he says he has nothing to prove.
"Not at all. I think I did it already in Germany. I had a fantastic one-and-a-half years, I’m trying to build further on that."
