The former Nigeria international will take over the helm at the struggling Birds until a permanent replacement is hired
Former Nigeria goalkeeper Greg Etafia has been named caretaker coach of South African side Moroka Swallows.
The 33-year-old who has been with the South African giants since 2003 will be hoping to revive the fading fortunes of the Volkswagen Dobsonville Stadium giants who were relegated from the Absa Premiership last season.
Swallows sit at the base of the South African Division One log with 11 points from 21 games and have not won a league match since November 7.
Etafia would be hoping to lead the Birds past SuperSport United in the last-32 of the Nedbank Cup at Dobsonville Stadium on Tuesday.
