Manchester City v Steaua Bucharest Betting: Hosts set to run wild again

Manchester City v Steaua Bucharest Betting: Hosts set to run wild again
Pep Guardiola's men were irresistible in Romania last week. Our tipster is backing the home side to record another convincing Champions League victory at the Etihad
Following their emphatic win in Romania last week, Manchester City’s Champions League play-off second-leg tie against Steaua Bucharest will be little more than a formality. The men from Manchester lead 5-0 from the first-leg, with Argentine striker Sergio Aguero helping himself to a hat-trick despite missing two penalties against Laurentiu Reghehampf’s men.
Guardiola’s charges continued their scoring spree at the weekend, putting four past Stoke City in the Premier League and the hosts may view this match as an opportunity to send a further message to their rivals for the Champions League crown by handing out another hammering to their Romanian opponents.

Should City find their feet again, the 8/15 (1.53) quote from Betway for Guardiola’s side (-1) to come out on top in the handicap market looks to be a solid selection, while punters may be tempted to snap up the 17/20 (1.85) quote on offer from the same firm for the hosts to hit three or more goals at Etihad Stadium.
Given the complete dominance of Pep Guardiola’s men last week, it is little surprise that the odds compilers offer just 2/11 (1.18) that Manchester City seal their place in the Champions League group stages with a win, while Betway go 6/1 (7.0) that both sides are forced to settle for a share of the spoils from the second leg.
Steaua were stung by the painful and humiliating defeat that they suffered on home soil and those anticipating a reaction from the Romanians can snap up the 16/1 (17.0) quote for the visitors to restore some pride by claiming a memorable victory in Manchester.
That, however, looks out of reach for Reghehampf’s outfit and those keen to find a way to side with the visitors may, instead, be tempted by the 6/5 (2.20) quote for Steaua to score.

However, the men from Manchester have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three Champions League matches on home soil and Guardiola will be keen to see his side extend that record, especially given the scrutiny that City’s defensive unit – and goalkeeper Willy Caballero in particular – have been subjected to thus far this season.
Reghehampf’s side were hapless on home turf last week and, with the tie all but dead, it would be somewhat surprising to see Steaua offer much resistance here. Guardiola may ring the changes, but first class replacements are ready to step into the side and the hosts can be trusted to rack up another comfortable victory at Etihad Stadium.
Punters, therefore, are advised to snap up the juicy 13/10 (2.30) quote for Manchester City (-2) in Betway’s handicap market ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash.

It was expected for Manchester City to win yesterday's game. Delph's goal came as a nice surprise. It is good to see Manchester City scoring a victory in this match and going further in the groups of Champions League. I am sure Guardiola will have to review the team's offensive and defensive strategy for the next matches.
