The former Manchester United and England midfielder
has yet to obtain his coaching badges but could be tempted back into
football with a part-time role in the Championship
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes is set to join Wigan Athletic's backroom team, according to The Sun.
Wigan manager Warren Joyce previously worked at United and, having axed coach Joe Parkinson, is keen to find a part-time role for Scholes, who retired for the second time in 2013.
Scholes has yet to gain his coaching badges but could be tempted back into football in the Championship, as he is unlikely to be allowed to work at Manchester United should a role be offered.
