Chelsea battle Man Utd for £40m Bayer attacker.

Chelsea are leading Manchester United in the battle to sign a Bayer Leverkusen star, while Arsenal could lose two major names this week, according to Tuesday’s newspapers.

THREE-WAY PREM TUSSLE FOR JAMAICAN WINGER

Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal will have a summer showdown over the signature of Bayer Leverkusen’s £40million-rated winger Leon Bailey, according to reports.
The Daily Mirror claims the Blues are leading the chase for the former Genk star, who has lit up the Bundesliga this season after scoring 10 times and creating numerous chances.
At 20 years old, Bailey has plenty of time on his side and it’s reported that Chelsea, as well as Arsenal and Manchester United have sent scouts to check Bailey’s progress.
Leverkusen are adamant the star will be going nowhere this month, as the club’s sporting director Jonas Boldt revealed: “Well now the time starts again when there is some insane [transfer] talk.
“There is no offer for Leon. We have absolutely no thought of selling him.
“He has a contract until 2022 – and we are on the driver’s seat.”
However, Leverkusen have shown themselves vulnerable to poachers in the past and the German media believe an offer of around £40million could tempt them to sell the winger.
