The incumbent President of the Confederation of African Football, Isa Hayatou, has been defeated.
Hayatou was floored by the man who has simply requested to be called Ahmad.
Ahmad defeated Hayatou by 34 votes to 20.
Nigeria before the election had declared support for Hayatou.
Nigeria’s position was made know by the Minister of Youth and Sport, Solomon Dalung.
