Power Ranking; United entrenched in mid-table; Everton 4th

Power Rankings: Arsenal and Man Utd slipped up
Champions Leicester dropped into the relegation zone after losing at Burnley, while Chelsea stretched their lead at the top despite drawing at Liverpool in our Power Rankings.
The Clarets’ brilliant home form continued as they sunk the Foxes to move into ninth spot, just half a point behind Manchester United, who have been entrenched in mid-table all season.
Tottenham’s failure to win at Sunderland was a blow to them and they slip further behind the leaders Chelsea, while Arsenal’s dreadful home reverse to Watford saw them fall further behind the leaders.

In Power Rankings, we award points from 0.5 to 7, decided by an algorithm based on bookmaker odds and winning margins.
It rewards teams scoring lots of goals and also those defying expectations but sees odds-on favourites penalised for sneaking past inferior opponents by the odd goal.
West Ham, who are 12th this time around, claimed the title by 3.5 points in our inaugural Power Rankings last season.

Matchday 23

Crystal Palace – 5pts: Big Sam off the mark with a deserved win away at leaky Bournemouth.
Man City 4.5pts: Gabriel Jesus gets a goal and an assist on his full debut.
Watford – 4pts: Huge win away at Arsenal to ease pressure on Mazzarri.
Swansea – 4pts: Gylfi Sigurdsson threatening to keep Swans up on his own.
Burnley 3pts: Home fortress presents another three points. Safety beckons.
Sunderland – 1.5pts: Huge home point. Life in David Moyes yet?
Hull – 1.5pts: Battling away point at Old Trafford. Marco Silva needs a medal if he keeps them up.
Stoke – 1.5pts: Crouch’s 100th Prem goal the highlight.
Chelsea – 1.5pts: Could have put the title in the bag, but missed a penalty.
Middlesbrough – 1pt: Solid home point after difficult transfer window.
Liverpool – 1pt: Had 62% possession against Chelsea, but couldn’t sink them.
West Brom – 1pt: Controversial penalty denied Albion another win.
Everton – 1pt: Fair result away at Stoke.
Manchester Utd – 0.25pts: Drab goalless draw. Struggling to make an impression.
Tottenham – 0.25pts: Struggled to get shots on target, despite 72% possession.
Troy Deeney: Matchwinner against Arsenal
