Neymar and Pogba miss out on FIFA World XI
The Brazil international made a surprising switch to the Chinese Super League earlier in the month, when he was captured for £60 million from Chelsea, but the 25-year-old attacker has hinted he will justify his £20m-per-year wages by netting on his first appearance for the club.
With the game scoreless, he came off the bench in the second period and was quick to make an impression when he broke the deadlock with a sweeping finish after a poor clearance.
But this was not his only key contribution. He threatened to find the target on several more occasions and drew the foul from which Lu Wenjun fired a free kick into the top corner to seal the points.
Among the spectators were Bayern Munich, who are based in the region for a winter training camp, and Oscar was pleased to have made such a positive contribution.
Barca leave title in Madrid's hands
“I only trained for two days and this is my first game. This is the start of a new season and we had only one goal, which was to win the game,” he told the media.
“My team-mates played very well today. The Chinese guys tried to help us integrate. It’s difficult to have a good game in such a short time but they made it happen.”
Oscar is one of a number of high-profile acquisitions this January for CSL clubs. Belgium international midfielder Axel Witsel has also moved to the league, joining Tianjin Quanjian, while Carlos Tevez's move to Shanghai Shenhua has reportedly made him the best paid footballer ever.
