OFFICIAL: Juventus sign Pjanic from Roma for €32m

The Bosnia-Herzegovina playmaker has made the move from the Italian capital to Turin official after signing a long-term deal with the reigning Serie A champions

Juventus have confirmed the signing of Miralem Pjanic from Roma for €32 million, with the midfielder agreeing a five-year deal.
The Bosnia & Herzegovina international had been linked with a move to England to join Manchester United but the Serie A and Coppa Italia holders have exercised a clause in Pjanic's contract to seal a deal.
Pjanic arrived at the Stadio Olimpico in 2011 from Ligue 1 side Lyon for €11m and has become one of the most coveted midfielders in European football, turning in a string of fine individual performances in 2015-16.
However, after scoring 10 goals in 33 league appearances - including a strike against Massimiliano Allegri's men back in August - he has now committed his future to Juve.
"It’s always tough to play here against such a great side and a massive club," Pjanic said. "There’s a different atmosphere to other stadiums, this is a wonderful stadium.
"You knew you were playing against a top side here, and we always expected a tough game. I’m delighted that I’ll be wearing the Juventus shirt from now on.
