Late Amodu Shuaibu buried in Okpella

The former Super Eagles handler was committed to mother earth on Saturday evening according to Islamic rites
Former Nigeria head coach and Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Federation Amodu Shuaibu has been laid to rest at his residence at Okpella, Edo State.
The legendary tactician died in his sleep on having complained of chest pains on Friday night.
His remains was brought into his residence from the Stella Obasanjo Hospital, Benin in the afternoon and was commit interred few hours later.
Islamic cleric Ahmed Shehu described Amodu’s departure as a great loss to Okpella community, Edo state and Nigeria at large.
Secretary General of the NFF Mohammed Sanusi, chairman of the Edo State FA Frank Ilaboya, Robinson Okosun were joined by hundreds of sympathizers to bid the icon farewell.
Amodu is survived by an aged mother, wife and seven children.
The demise of the three-time Super Eagles coach who had a stint with BBC Lions, Elkanemi Warriors and Orlando Pirates comes three days after the death of Stephen Keshi who was his assistant at the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations staged in Mali.
