season at Anfield, but the Reds face another difficult start to the
campaign as they look to climb back up the table
Liverpool will kick off their first full
campaign under Jurgen Klopp with a daunting yet thrilling test away to
Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
The Reds travel to north London on
Saturday, August 13 before hosting Burnley a week later, though the
fixture could yet be switched to Turf Moor as the redevelopment of
Anfield's Main Stand is completed.
A challenging visit to White Hart Lane is next up against
Tottenham, before they welcome champions Leicester City to Merseyside on
September 10.
Klopp will then come up against new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge seven days later.
The blockbuster fixtures against
Manchester United, with Jose Mourinho now in charge of the Red Devils,
occur at home on October 15 and at Old Trafford on January 14.
Ronald Koeman will take charge of his
first Merseyside Derby on December 17, when he will lead Everton out at
Goodison. The reverse match is on April 1.
Another epic battle in the dugout will see Klopp renew hostilities with former Bayern manager Pep Guardiola, now at the helm of Manchester City, at Anfield on December 31. They face off again on March 18.
