The little known El Kanemi Babes shot into the lead in the 32nd minute but the Lagos topflight side saved their blushes in the dying moments of the encounter when defender Abisoye Olawale equalized through a glancing header before the edged out their opponents during the shootout exercise.

The Oluyole Warriors put aside their domestic problem to progress to the Federation Cup Round of 32 after a 2-0 win over Wikki Feeders to secure their second win in the last three matches in all competitions.
Heartland 0-0 Top World- Top World eliminated Heartland 4-3 on penalties
It was a tragic day for Imo football after all their representatives were thrown out of the Federation Cup in the Round of 64 with Heartland FC the notable eyesore in their penalties loss to Top World of Ekiti in Oleh.
Papilo FC also lost to Rivers United 4-3 in a very thrilling tie played in Uyo’s Godswill Akpabio Stadium but Heartland were expected to take care of the Ekiti side having lifted the trophy twice in the last five years and it was the major shock loss of the round.
Plateau United 4-0 Zara FC
The Tin City side put behind them the loss of one of their ex-midfielders, Sabole Simon Shehu who was buried same day in Kaduna to beat Kebbi side, Zara FC in Zaria.
