Minister sets trophy target for Super Eagles in Brazil

The minister in charge of sports has revealed the expectations of Stephen Keshi's contingent to Brazil is to return with the World Cup trophy
The minister of sports, Tammy Danagogo has said that the target set for the Super Eagles at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil is to win the title.

Danagogo refuted reports in some sections of the media that the semi-final stage was the target set for the African champions.

“I have been misquoted in some sections of the media that the target for the Super Eagles is semi-finals, but that is the minimum target," Danagogo said.

“We expect the Super Eagles to go to Brazil and bring back the cup,’’ the minister told the media.

The reigning African champions will be making their fifth appearance at football's showpiece and have been drawn in the same group with Argentina, Iran and Bosnia.
