  • After losing four Premier League Manchester derbies in a row, Manchester United are unbeaten in their last three against City (W2 D1).
  • The Citizens failed to score in both Manchester derbies last season. They’ve not failed to score in three consecutive league meetings with Man Utd since October 1995 (a run of four).
  • The Red Devils have lost three of their last five home league meetings with Man City (W1 D1), more than they’d lost in the previous 29 (W15 D12 L2).
  • Manchester City could secure their 50th Manchester derby win in all competitions with victory. Manchester United have recorded 70 wins (51 draws).
  • Jose Mourinho has won just three of his 16 meetings with Pep Guardiola (D6 L7) – these wins came in La Liga & Copa Del Rey with Real Madrid & in the Champions League with Inter.
  • Manchester City won the last Manchester derby in which both clubs had new managers – 4-1 in September 2013 (Pellegrini and Moyes).
  • This is only the second time in league history that both Manchester City and Manchester United have won their opening three games in the same season. It also happened in 2011/12, when Manchester City won the league and Manchester United finished second.
  • Pep Guardiola didn’t win all four his opening four league games in charge of Barcelona B, Barcelona or Bayern Munich.
  • Pep Guardiola is the first Manchester City manager to win his first five games in charge of the club, while Jose Mourinho is the first manager to win his first four games in charge of Manchester United.
  • Wayne Rooney has scored 11 goals in Manchester derbies (all comps) – more than any other player in the history of this fixture.
  • Marcus Rashford scored the winner in the Manchester derby back in March, becoming the youngest player to score in a Premier League Manchester derby (18y 141d).
  • Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored 41 times in his 34 league games since the start of last season.
  • The suspended Sergio Agüero has had a hand in 131 goals in 153 Premier League appearances for Manchester City (105 goals, 26 assists).

Arsenal v Southampton

  • The Gunners have won just one of their last six meetings with Southampton in all competitions (D2 L3), 1-0 back in December 2014.
  • Saints have scored just one goal in four Premier League visits to the Emirates, failing to score in the last three.
  • Arsenal haven’t lost in 21 consecutive home league games against Southampton (W15 D6), last losing back in November 1987 (0-1, thanks to Danny Wallace’s goal).
  • Southampton have kept three consecutive clean sheets against Arsenal, their best ever run against them in all competitions. Indeed, it’s as many as they’d kept against the Gunners in their previous 32 meetings (all comps).
  • The Gunners haven’t lost back-to-back home fixtures in the Premier League since August 2011.
  • Shane Long scored twice in Southampton’s 4-0 win over the Gunners on Boxing Day 2015, his most recent brace in the Premier League.
  • Mesut Özil scored in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Watford, but hasn’t’ scored a league goal at the Emirates since December.
  • Claude Puel is the fourth French manager to face Arsene Wenger in the Premier League, with Gerard Houllier the only manager to beat him (Jean Tigana and Remi Garde were the other two).
  • Santi Cazorla has been directly involved in three of Arsenal’s six league goals this campaign, scoring once and assisting twice.
  • Southampton also failed to win any of their opening three Premier League games last season, but they went on to secure their best Premier League finish (sixth).

Bournemouth v West Bromwich Albion

  • Bournemouth have kept just one clean sheet in their 12 previous league meetings with West Brom, conceding in each of their six home games.
  • The Baggies failed to win either of their meetings with Bournemouth last season, losing at home before drawing 1-1 in Bournemouth.
  • Salomon Rondon was sent off in the first meeting between these sides last season (December 2015), before scoring the opener in the 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium in May 2016.
  • The Cherries have picked up one win in their last 11 Premier League fixtures (D2 L8), and are winless in their last eight.
  • Similarly, the Baggies have collected one victory in their last 12 in the Premier League (D5 L6).
  • Josh King ended a run of six goalless Premier League games with the opening goal of the game against Crystal Palace.
  • Tony Pulis’ side have scored just seven goals in their last 13 Premier League games.
  • Bournemouth have collected just two yellow cards in three Premier League games this season, but are one of two sides to pick up a red card.
  • Three of the five goals conceded by Bournemouth this season have been from headers (60%).
  • Only Arsenal (27) and Manchester United (25) have kept more Premier League clean sheets than West Brom (23) since Tony Pulis took charge in January 2015.
  • Since the start of 2010-11, Jack Wilshere has played just 33% of the possible Premier League minutes that he could have for Arsenal (6934 mins played from a possible 231 matches).
  • Wilshere has scored in his last two Premier League games against WBA – against no other opponent has he scored more often in the competition.

Burnley v Hull City

  • The Tigers have scored just two goals in their last nine league visits to Turf Moor.
  • There has not been a draw in the last 16 league meetings between these sides, with Burnley winning 11 to Hull’s five.
  • Both these sides have been relegated in the two previous seasons they’ve been in the Premier League together (2009/10 and 2014/15).
  • Only one of the last seven league clashes between these two sides has seen more than one goal scored – Hull’s 3-0 win in December 2015 at the KCOM Stadium.
  • The Tigers have used just 13 different players so far this season, with Shaun Maloney and Harry Maguire the only players to be used from the bench.
  • Burnley have attempted fewer shots overall than any other Premier League team so far (19).

Middlesbrough v Crystal Palace

  • This will be the first top flight meeting between these sides since the 2004/05 season, when Middlesbrough won twice (2-1 at home, 1-0 away) and Palace were eventually relegated.
  • The Eagles have never won in five league visits to the Riverside Stadium, alternating between defeat and a draw in all five (D2 L3).
  • Middlesbrough are one of two Premier League sides yet to score in the second half this season, along with Burnley.
  • Christian Benteke has been flagged offside more than anyone else in the Premier League this season, despite playing once (5).
  • Middlesbrough have lost just one of their last 10 home games at this level, but seven of these have ended all square (W2 D7 L1).
  • Andros Townsend has had more shots than any other Premier League player this season without finding the net (12).

Stoke City v Tottenham Hotspur

  • Stoke suffered their joint-biggest Premier League home defeat in this fixture last season (0-4, also against Chelsea in January 2013).
  • Tottenham have won more games at the Bet365 Stadium than any other Premier League side (5).
  • There have been eight red cards in 16 Premier League meetings between these sides, with seven of those coming at the Bet365 Stadium (three for Stoke, four for Spurs).
  • Dele Alli scored twice against Stoke City back in April; his only Premier League brace to date.
  • This is only the third time since debuting in the Premier League that Stoke have been bottom of the table, with the previous instances coming in August 2008 and September 2015.
  • Mauricio Pochettino’s only win in the Premier League against Stoke was the 4-0 win in April (D4 L2).
  • Shay Given could make his 450th Premier League appearance in this match, becoming just the fourth goalkeeper to make this milestone after David James (572), Mark Schwarzer (514) and Brad Friedel (450).

West Ham United v Watford

  • West Ham have won 11 of their last 13 home league meetings with Watford (D1 L1), though that one defeat came in the Premier League in February 2007 (0-1).
  • That 1-0 win for Watford is the Hornets’ only clean sheet in 17 league visits away to West Ham.
  • The home side won both games by a two-goal margin last season in this fixture (West Ham 3-1, Watford 2-0), while the visiting side had a player sent off each time.
  • Mark Noble scored twice in West Ham’s 3-1 win over the Hornets in April, both times from the penalty spot.
  • Odion Ighalo scored both of Watford’s goals in their 2-0 win over West Ham last October but he has scored twice in 21 Premier League games in 2016.
  • Slaven Bilic has lost four of his last six Premier League games in charge of West Ham United, as many as he had lost in the previous 26 combined.
  • Watford have used 21 different players in three matches so far this season, with 17 different nationalities represented.
  • Michail Antonio has scored a league-high eight headed goals since the start of last season.
  • Indeed, no English midfielder has scored more Premier League goals than Antonio since August 2015 (10 – level with Dele Alli).
  • Walter Mazzarri’s side have dropped five points from leading positions so far this season, more than any other Premier League club has.

Liverpool v Leicester City

  • Liverpool were one of just two teams to beat Leicester City in the Premier League last season (along with Arsenal), winning 1-0 at Anfield in December.
  • After winning three league games in a row at Anfield between 1997 and 2000, Leicester have failed to win any of their last five there (D1 L4).
  • Liverpool have won more games against the reigning Premier League champions than any other side has (19).
  • The reigning Premier League champion has not won a league game at Anfield since Manchester United won 1-0 in December 2007 (D3 L5 since).
  • No team has conceded more goals in the Premier League this season than Liverpool (six – level with Watford and Stoke).
  • Jamie Vardy has found the net six times in his last seven Premier League games, and scored both of Leicester’s goals in their 2-0 win over Liverpool in February.
  • Only George Boyd (233) has made more sprints than Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino in the top-flight this season (214).
  • Liverpool have covered more distance than any other Premier League side this season (346km).
  • Claudio Ranieri has won just one of his five previous league games at Anfield, back in August 2003 (D1 L3).
  • The Foxes have collected 46 points in 2016, more than any other Premier League side (W13 D7 L2).

Swansea City v Chelsea

  • Swansea’s 1-0 win in this exact fixture last season was their first league victory and clean sheet in 12 games against the Blues, since a 3-0 win in April 1981.
  • Chelsea have scored more goals against Swansea than any other Premier League side has (21).
  • Since beating Chelsea 1-0 in April, the Swans have kept just one clean sheet in eight Premier League games.
  • Diego Costa has scored more Premier League goals against Swansea than any other opponent he’s faced (5).
  • Costa has either scored or assisted in each of his last five Premier League games for the Blues.
  • Leroy Fer has scored in two of his three Premier League games this season, having failed to score in any of the 11 he played in last season for the Swans.
  • In each of their title winning seasons, Chelsea won their opening four games of the Premier League campaign (2004/05, 2005/06, 2009/10 and 2014/15).

Sunderland v Everton

  • The Black Cats have lost just one of their last seven home league games against Everton (W2 D4), 0-1 in April 2014.
  • The Toffees have scored just 12 times in 15 visits to Sunderland in the Premier League, and never more than twice in a single match.
  • There were 11 goals in the two games between these sides last season – only Newcastle vs Norwich saw more in the 2015/16 Premier League campaign (13).
  • David Moyes was in charge of Everton for 427 Premier League games between 2002 and 2013 (P427 W173 D123 L131). This is the third longest spell of any manager in the Premier League era (behind Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United and Arsene Wenger at Arsenal).
  • David Moyes lost both of his matches against his former club in 2013/14, with the match at Goodison Park proving to be his last as Manchester United boss.

  • Only Eden Hazard (17) has beaten an opponent with more dribbles this season than Adnan Januzaj (13).
